Stridex Academy focuses on bridging the gap between grassroots and academy football, offering elite coaching to U10 to U11 players with a strong emphasis on technical, tactical, and physical development. The Academy is led by experienced UEFA B Licensed Coach and Director Alex Cook, alongside Director Andrew Quick.
This partnership will provide a range of opportunities for players both within and outside of the Haverhill Rovers setup. Stridex Academy players will benefit from a clear progression route into Haverhill Rovers EJA sides, while current EJA players will have access to additional, high-level training sessions within an elite environment.
In addition, this collaboration opens the door to more fixtures, increased exposure, and potential exit routes into professional academies, ensuring that all players within the system are given the best possible chance to succeed in the game.
All Stridex Academy sessions will be held at The New Croft, with long-term plans to expand into other areas to reach more aspiring players.
Alex Cook, Lead Coach at Stridex Academy, said: “Andy and I are really excited to launch this partnership with Haverhill Rovers EJA. It is vital that we work closely with a Football Club with an excellent vision and care for player development. This partnership will help create a clear pathway and development structure to assist entry into the EJA pathway. Stridex Academy is committed to providing a positive learning environment, with high quality coaching sessions to aid player development.”
Ryan Churcher Club Chairman from Haverhill Rovers said: “We are thrilled to welcome Stridex Academy as a partner in our continued mission to offer high-level development opportunities for youth players. This partnership not only gives our current players access to elite coaching and additional sessions but also creates a clear and structured route for emerging talent to step into our EJA squads. With the support of Alex and the team at Stridex, we are confident this will further strengthen our ability to prepare players for the next level of football, including professional club opportunities.”
